Dr Robin Petterd is the principal of Sprout Labs. Sprout Labs is a Hobart based e-learning business that creates innovative, engaging, and creative solutions. Clients include Hydro Tasmania, the Hobart City Council and University of Sydney. Sprout Labs is a member of Health Learn Alliance which is a cluster of companies working together in healthcare learning innovation. Robin has worked in education and training for over 10 years, as teacher, team leader and professional development coach. His PhD is in experience design with interactive digital media art.

NBN will provide the laying of fibre optic cabling to 93 per cent of Australian homes, schools and businesses, providing broadband speeds of up to 100 megabits per second (Mbps). Availability of high speed of internet connectivity not only opens up creative possibilities for innovative e-Learing solutions but the possibility of providing performance support. The session will give an overview of NBN and the opportunities and challenges presented to learning professionals. The session will explore the changes to way business, individuals and society will learn when NBN is fully rolled out.
