Why you should listen to Noelani: |
Breakout Session: Wed Sept 14, 2011 11:00am - 11:30am |
|
The Electricity Supply Industry –Transmission & Distribution (ESI-T&D) sector is highly technical, regulated and continually changing. The sector is currently suffering skill shortages, most notably in the area of experienced trades people, mentors and training personnel. Energex is committed to the integration of new training delivery methods into their existing training regimes to help optimise their workforce. In this presentation Noelani captures the evolution of learning design in a way that demonstrates the growth and richness of blending different learning strategies. This session gives you a chance to bench mark against a successful implementation and answer questions such as: How can learning environments be blended? What are the cultural implications? How will the focus of instructional design change? What are the positive outcomes of this approach? What are the impediments to blending learning strategies? What are the costs of implementation? Noelani will be joined by Robb Reiner who was the technical expert on the project.
