Michelle leads the Educational Design and Support (EDS) team at NPS: Better choices, Better health. NPS is a non-for-profit organisation funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing to enable people to make better decisions about medicines and medical tests, leading to better health and economic outcomes. With their expertise in educational design and online learning, the EDS team is responsible for developing, implementing and supporting e-learning resources. Michelle joined NPS in 2005 and transitioned into her current role in 2009. She holds a BPharm (Hons) and a PhD (USyd). Her background is in clinical pharmacy and research.

In this session, Michelle will provide a snapshot of the ins and outs of online learning at NPS, a not-for-profit organisation that started out with little knowledge, capacity and capability in e-learning, and progressed to an organisation with a team dedicated to developing, implementing and supporting online learning resources for health professionals. She will share the successes and lessons learnt in providing online learning to a diverse and growing external audience. |
