Cheryl is a Workplace Learning and Performance Consultant for The Salvation Army Employment Plus, one of Australia’s largest employment services providers, and winners of the LearnX 2010 Platinum Award in the Best Training Team Category. Cheryl holds tertiary qualifications in Business, Employment Services and Training. Prior to working in the Employment Services sector she had extensive experience in Business and Finance with over 10 years experience in the Learning & Development field. In her current role her skills are utilised in providing timely and flexible interventions to meet the varied training needs of TSAEP and its people. Due to the possible Regional, State and National target groups, development of skills in both traditional and virtual learning environments have been a necessity.

In this session we will discuss the effective and timely use of Adobe Connect in providing training Nationally, State wide and also on a Regional level. We will examine three different components of a web conferencing session. Cheryl will look at the lessons they have learnt in relation to room layouts, pods and backgrounds. The necessity of developing appropriate protocols around the usage of this medium and the material development including interactive activities within the rooms. She will also look at what information is critical for participants and their line Management? Hoo to maximise acceptance of the medium and increase participation rates. The benefit of Interactive activities. Control of the room and participants to maximise participation and meet objectives of the session. Physical requirements for running the session including hardware, space and timing. Cheryl will be joined in this session by her órganisational colleague, Lisa Crawford.
